Mark Caserta: Obama presidency could have been great.

If he had only loved America

Barack Hussein Obama was a U.S. president from January 20, 2009 to January 20, 2017

There are many direct correlations to be made from the Obama presidency to the state of our union pre-President Trump.

Barack Obama had an opportunity to unify our country as the first African American president. He chose, rather to be the divider-in-chief and fuel racial discrimination in the US.

He also chose to leverage the office of the president to wield our justice system as a tool to remain in power and disenfranchise American voters.

Remember his world “apology tour” immediately upon assuming the presidency? He used the tour to diminished the premise of American exceptionalism!

I submit the Obama presidency could have been one of the greatest presidencies in our history – if he had only loved our country.

I very much agree with your comments. He made race an issue that it had not happened since the 70’s.  Make It A Great Day! Glen Comer
