We shall know them by their fruits…

25 Jan

“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?”

the cross

I would not want to stand before the Throne of God and have to answer for how I enabled an individual to lose their soul by declaring the Bible was “flawed” and that sin, such as same-sex marriage, was permissible in God’s eyes.

When someone spends more time declaring the Bible is in error and that we can take liberties with His commandments,  versus the time they spend talking about it’s truths and the infallible nature of God’s Word….Well…again…God said we shall know them by their fruits.

It’s one thing to believe this within one’s own heart – We have been given a free will to work out our own salvation.  But it’s quite another to have a purpose in life to take others to hell with you, just to garner a following with your words and writings.

God loves us all.  But he said if we love Him, we will obey his commandments.  Period.

God help eyes be opened to the truth and closed to the individuals who lead others down a path to destruction.

God forgive me, if I’ve ever led someone down the wrong path or caused a brother or sister to stumble in my words or writings.    I pray you would always keep my eyes open and my spirit sensitive to Your direction.  Help me discern the facts accurately, according to your Holy Word and to always be available for your purpose; not mine.  Help me to always speak the truth.     And Father I pray for those who inaccurately speak Your Word; that their eyes be opened and their hearts changed.  And for those they have misled to be returned to Your Truth. In Jesus’ Name.  Amen
