Despite what the mainstream media and liberals would have you believe, there is no anti-Trump “wave” throughout our country from previous supporters. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

Rather than a “wave” against the president, the president’s increasing number of wins has gone so far as to solidify and broaden his base of supporters.

And conservatives certainly aren’t dissuaded by the liberal meltdown over their unsettling loss in the 2016 presidential election. It’s sad they keep allowing it to fuel their flames of discontent to the point they can’t seem to rationalize what’s good for America!

In a single year, Donald Trump has successfully negated a large portion of the damage caused by the Obama administration by doing exactly what he promised his constituents – win on behalf of the American people!

America is beginning to win at home with people going back to work. I’m encouraged as I travel through the coalfields of West Virginia, Kentucky and Pennsylvania and see coal trucks and barges, once again, filled with coal for transport. And while the labor participation rate is still way too low, we’re well on our way to jobs recovery with the unemployment rate falling to 4.3 percent, a 17-year low, per the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Remarkably, per an August column in Breitbart by John Carney, the American economy has added more than 1 million jobs since President Donald Trump took office, despite economists predicting a job slump this year. Carney reports that America has added more than 200,000 jobs in four of Trump’s first six months in office!

Even an August column in CNN Money, by Chris Isidore, confirms the economy created an average of 179,000 new jobs in each of the first six months of Trump’s presidency – far better than his predecessor’s first six months, when 3.4 million jobs were lost!

Illegal immigration along the U.S.Mexico border is also declining at an amazing rate. In March, the Border Patrol recorded 12,193 apprehensions at the Southwest border, the lowest in 17 years, per the Border Patrol and confirmed by Politifact. And Trump hasn’t even built the wall yet!

It simply required a decisive, unwavering stance on illegal immigration by a leader who values sovereignty and safety over a voter base dependent upon the hands that feed them. It’s really that simple.

So, why does America returning to greatness annoy liberal Democrats and the GOP establishment? Why would these Trump naysayers be willing to cripple the presidency of Donald Trump when doing so would be harmful to most Americans?

Sadly, for many of these career politicians, politics have become so entrenched in winning for the party, that the needs of the American people don’t seem to factor into the equation. In what world would we hire them to fight against lowering taxes and reducing illegal immigration?

The “swamp” is still very deep and crawling with loathsome varmints. Electing Donald Trump was the first step toward draining it dry. Rest assured, he will be calling on voters to play an integral role in expediting the process.

The so-called American Dream is something to which most people have aspired at some point in their life. While it means something different to everyone, its pursuit is something our Founding Fathers felt was worth protecting.

The Declaration of Independence states early in its text, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

Conservatives consider this particularly important because we believe our rights truly come from God, not man. Yet, the ever fallible man often seems to overvalue these rights for ourselves while undervaluing them for others. I’m dismayed at the lack of engagement by individuals in societal issues until they’re impacted directly. This sort of short-sightedness has allowed the progressive movement far too much success in America.

In fact, I submit the American Dream, which for many of us includes the freedom to worship, honor our flag and pray to our God, all openly, has been desperately attacked by those whose progressive dream lacks these virtues. And if eight years of the Obama administration taught us nothing else, we learned how quickly even the mightiest of nations will falter beneath the weight of liberal leaders with socialist tendencies.

For some retrospection, I recently read a 2014 column by Simone Pathe, of “PBS NewsHour,” titled “Why half of U.S. adults no longer believe in the American dream.” The column shared data collected at the time by the annual American Values Survey showing nearly half of Americans, who once believed in the American Dream (defined as the belief that if you work hard, you’ll get ahead), thought it no longer existed.

Fast-forward to a column last week by Samantha Smith of the Pew Research Center titled “Most think the ‘American dream’ is within reach for them,” which revealed an entirely different, optimistic perspective. This column stated that despite persistently “low levels of public satisfaction” with the state of the nation, most Americans (82 percent) believe they’ve achieved the American Dream or are on their way to achieving it.

The state of the union and the mindset toward achieving the American Dream is dramatically improving per every economic indicator under the Trump administration. Unemployment is falling, manufacturing is returning to the U.S., the stock market is at an all-time high, GDP is on the incline, the EPA is being reined in, our enemies once again fear us while our allies are learning to trust us again, and our military is regaining global prominence.

Despite these facts, liberals seem to be working frantically to keep our focus elsewhere. Don’t forget, the same people who are trying to convince you President Trump’s approval ratings are tanking are the same ones who told you Hillary would win in a landslide!

Liberals may choose to reverie in their progressive nightmare, but most Americans are enlivened by the new spirit we’ve embraced as a nation.

The American Dream is once again reality.

So-called “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” or TDS, seems to have infected the minds of liberals across the land. While apparently impacting the brain and central nervous system, I believe it’s critically impairing the left’s ability to reason or comprehend facts.

The Center for Advanced Conservative Studies is said to be working to determine if TDS is indeed responsible for liberals laboring to undermine, either willingly or unknowingly, everything President Trump intends to accomplish on behalf of the American people during his presidency.

Many fear we may not arrive at a viable cure for this debilitating disease until the 2018 midterm elections.

But seriously folks, at what point will liberals be willing to set aside their intolerant hatred of President Trump on behalf of the American people? For progressives, it isn’t about improving the livelihood of millions of Americans; it’s about destroying one man – Donald J. Trump!

Case in point: It appears liberal Democrats will be unwilling to vote for tax reform and lower taxes for the American people, despite the Tax Foundation reporting that taxes cost Americans more out-of-pocket than they collectively spend on housing, clothing and food – combined! What an audacious disregard for the American taxpayer!

Ironically, this past Sunday was the anniversary of former president Reagan signing into law his successful Tax Reform Act of 1986. This was the second major law he signed reforming the tax code for the American people. It was a time when Republicans and Democrats came together to work for all Americans.

Now, over 30 years later, President Trump seeks to live up to his promise to historically reduce taxes and simplify the burdensome tax system for millions of Americans. In a speech to the Heritage Foundation, President Trump outlined his new plan along with highlighting a few substantial successes he’s already had on behalf of Americans.

“In the nine months since I took office as president, we have removed intrusive, job-killing regulations at a record pace.” Trump said. “We are leaving lopsided international deals that hurt America, like the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Paris Climate Accord. We have unleashed American energy by ending the war on coal and approving major projects like the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines. And earlier this month, I signed an executive order to take important steps to free our people from the grip of Obamacare.”

The president went on to share that unemployment was at a 16-year low, wages are rising, manufacturing confidence is higher, the stock market is soaring, and GDP growth has climbed to more than 3 percent – a feat never achieved under his predecessor.

“The optimism has returned – the sun is once again rising over America,” the president proudly proclaimed.

But even as President Trump works on behalf of hard-working families, those infected with TDS are choosing to allow the hatred of one man to supersede their love of country.

So, given the American people are coming off eight years of liberal oppression, I’m confident patriots won’t rest until a cure is found for this progressive disease.

For now, President Trump’s successes are offsetting this liberal disorder.

Mark Caserta: GOP establishment in lockstep with Democrats

No matter what moral, ethical or political perspective we espouse, we’re eventually exposed by actions that openly offend us. Unfortunately, for many Americans, that’s where we find ourselves with some members of the so-called GOP establishment.

It would seem that many in the Republican Party are in lockstep with liberal Democrats in choosing to demonstrate their resentment of President Trump by impeding him from returning America to greatness.

I’m confident this rebuke of the voters’ authoritative mandate given in the last few election cycles will be the undoing of the Republican Party, unless it institutes a course change soon. Continuing down this path could result in an aggressive push for a viable third political party by millions of Americans weary of representatives being more interested in personal victories than in constituents.

I admit, early in the Republican primary, I was concerned about a Trump presidency. At one point, I would’ve chosen any of the other GOP candidates as our presidential nominee. I suppose I had my own pre-conceived notion as to what it would take to steer our nation away from the debilitating path of progressivism under the Obama administration.

But, as more Republicans expose themselves to Americans as being more concerned with personal vendetta and power over public service, the more I’m convinced Donald J. Trump was the only man for the 2016 presidency.

Honestly, does anyone believe we needed another politically correct politician negotiating with other politically correct politicians? Where has that gotten us the past few elections? In many regards, we haven’t seen a true champion for the American people since Ronald Reagan.

But President Trump is becoming the people’s champion by proving he isn’t concerned with political correctness or bowing to special interest groups. The only political debt Donald Trump owes is to the American people by fulfilling his promises.

Now, I realize that fulfilling a promise is an abstract concept for many politicians. But for a man who realizes integrity and honoring one’s word is prerequisite to success in life, President Trump is willing to do what it takes to make it happen, despite being burdened by a feckless Congress.

Last week, frustrated over Congress’ failure to repeal and replace Obamacare, President Trump signed an executive order making it easier for people to purchase affordable healthcare and restricting the Obamacare mandates.

Several news outlets, including The New York Post, reported the president as saying, the order “directs the Department of Health and Human Services, the Treasury, and the Department of Labor, to take action to increase competition, increase choice, and increase access to lower-priced, high-quality health care options and people will have great, great health care.”

Despite what corrupt politicians would have you believe, this isn’t complicated.

Politicians apply for a job. We hire them via an interview process. Do good work, great! Do poor work, goodbye! Anything more is political pandering.

Here’s an ironic bottom line worth remembering for Congress. President Trump is giving you more opportunity now than voters will in 2018.

Time to clock in. You’re very late for work.

Mark Caserta: Readers respond to columnist’s question

Last week’s column, “Did West Virginians elect Trump out of ignorance?,” was centered on the facetious question as to whether voters in our state are qualified to make an educated choice for president of the United States.

Of course they are.

But some of the cynical responses were very telling. Some even had me questioning the reader’s ability to comprehend the text, as portrayed in this response from one reader.

“Mark. Oh no, buddy. It has finally hit you right between the eyes. YOU are seeing Trump for what he is. You’re asking YOURSELF this question: Did I help elect Trump out of ignorance? Looks like you’ve been mulling that over.”

Other folks, as in this reader, surmised West Virginians simply chose the “lesser of two evils.”

“As West Virginians only had, as a viable alternative vote in 2016 the corporatist, republican-lite option of voting for Hillary Clinton, it is very understandable that most Democratic voters stayed home and some even voted for what was perceived as a wild-card, anti-DC candidate like Trump rather than falling in line behind the empty establishment pants suit.”

Of the responses from individuals typically aligning themselves with progressives, it’s worth noting the lack of regard they apparently have for the intellect of West Virginians.

“They had other options, they can write in any person they want, or not vote at all. Only stupid people believe there is some magical civic- duty to vote. They never/don’t realize the door of obligation swings both ways. Ignorant conservatives, you know I love-em!”

“Well, considering Arch Moore was convicted for corruption and jailed, then RE-ELECTED in West Virginia as governor and THEN his daughter enters politics and SHE gets elected? I don’t know, but? Does that speak to an abundance of smarts in this state?”

“A majority of West Virginians are too busy trying to make a living to give much time to considering political candidates. After all, they’ve sent some real losers (not this one) to the statehouse.”

“Did West Virginians elect Trump out of ignorance? Yes. Like there was any other option. How else could/would clueless conservative hillbillies vote?”

Then there were responses like this one, interjecting reasoned perspective into the discussion.

“This is all pretty funny. And it confirms something I’ve known to be true for a long time. Liberals can’t read. Mark concludes that ‘And just perhaps, it isn’t the 68 percent of West Virginians who elected Donald Trump who are the ignorant ones, after all.’ And liberals read that as Mark concluding that West Virginians who voted for Trump did so out of ignorance. Pretty funny, and shows their total lack of logic and reasoning ability.”

So, according to liberals, ignorance, indeed, played a role in electing Trump in West Virginia. I can only assume they believe similarly for the other 30 states he won.

This progressive rationale prompts me to ask liberals another clarifying question.

Do you accept any of the blame for Donald Trump being elected president, or was it simply the ignorance of others?

Doug Smith: Trump haters don’t need any help from the right

So what to make of Trump Jr s meeting with a shady Russian, associated with the Obama administration, and banned from entry, but granted a waiver to enter, in time for the meeting, by an Obama buddy in NY District Court.

Well, the knee jerk reaction is to defend his move because

  1. Hillary , Ted Kennedy, Jimmy Carter, and Obama himself all did far worse with Russians, in a way that truly did damage the interests of the United States. ( all true)
  2. The Democrats never cared about any of it, or even acts of true treason when it was one of theirs, and cared not a whit that the Russians were trying to toss stink bombs into our political process, as long as they thought the Hillary would win. ( again, true)
  3. The whole Russia narrative has been nothing more than an attempt by the Democrats to roadblock Trump’s agenda, and if possible, remove him from office. ( also true)
  4. Character assassination is all they have, because they have been losing elections so badly for so long, and this is their only chance to maybe, maybe, pick up control of one House of Congress in 2018 and keep Obama s damage going, and blame it on the GOP. ( reasonable conclusion)
  5. The longer they keep this nonsense up, the less the chances that the GOP will repeal Obamacare, cut taxes, or pass any meaningful legislation. ( again, true)
  6. After 8 years of Obama, we have a break coming, and for better or worse, our break is Trump.

All these things are true, and make conservatives, myself included, tend to jump to defense of Trump, perceiving the attacks on him to be attacks on us, and on our desires for positive change in the country. The perception is correct.

The conclusion is not.

Sean Hannity has spent months, incorrectly, defending former Submariner Christian Saucier, who is serving a year in prison for taking pictures of classified areas of his Nuclear Submarine. Hannity’s defense is that Hillary did far worse and got away with it, thus Saucier should get away with it as well.

That is a very slippery slope. And Hannity, who I agree with on many things, is dead wrong on this.

As a Submariner, I do not want to send the message to any sailor that security no longer matters because of Hillary. Nor do I want to send a message that fooling around with the help is OK now because Slick Willy. If we choose the Clintons as the arbiters of our future morality, we are doomed. And damned.

If I had been on ET1 Saucier’s Court Martial, I would have voted to convict him, strip him of all rank, and send him to prison. He was old enough to know better, and he violated a major rule of security. Our standards on Submarines are not dictated by the Clintons. We are better than that. That is why we come home alive.

Donald Trump Jr showed an appalling lack of common sense. A seasoned politico would have sensed a set up ( which it seems that it was. ) The people he dealt with were unsavory, the information offered was not necessary ( everyone knew what Hillary is) , and appearances matter.

Now. Was it illegal? Clearly, not. Was it unethical? Again, no. He did not ask anyone to steal or reveal Hillary s dirty laundry. He was intrigued to hear what it was.

Was it a stupid, boneheaded move?

To quote Sarah Palin, You betcha.

He took a risk for no gain, and in a stupid 15 minute sit down, gave ammunition to the enemies of his Dad to keep stirring the commode a while longer. He contributed to another day or 3 of delay in important legislation.  He showed himself to be a neophyte, which we knew. POTUS is also a neophyte, who needs to surround himself with seasoned people who can help him avoid such minefields.

Then, of course, like father like son, they have a tendency to dance around the truth and make things sound better for themselves. Even an innocent exchange can be suspect when people wonder how many more shoes must drop.

There are 3 ways to handle such information.

  1. No comment. Mr. President, will you PLEASE for God s sake learn that phrase.
  2. The truth, but only as much as necessary.
  3. Lies and evasions.

The Trumps often choose 3, even when it is not necessary. And they tend to dribble out the truth.  That is a bad habit which they must break. When your positions and assertions and message are constantly shifting, one never knows when the Real Donald Trump answer is out there. Just as Democrats found themselves passionately defending Bill Clinton right up to the point that he admitted a lie, Republicans have found themselves defending a Trump position, only to find that he has changed course on a dime and left them to fall on their faces.

Somebody needs to oversee messaging from the White House. Someone with a big stick, and freedom to beat anyone over the head with it. Is a lot of the invective thrown at Trump undeserved and frustrating? You betcha.  Could he reduce unforced errors with better message discipline? Dang right.

So, what about Trump Jr and his meeting with Boris and Natasha?

It was not illegal. In terms of ethics, it was certainly far cleaner than Hillary s work with the Ukrainians to find or manufacture damaging stories about Trump. In the former, he was coming to see what was offered, in bad faith as it turns out, that could help. In the latter, Hillary was actively seeking and paying for help to get or manufacture, as they did, a story.  Stay away from the sausage factory, it will spoil your appetite.

What is was, and remains, is a stupid, rookie mistake. He should have run that by a senior political operative before answering. But there were none. The allure of the outsider campaign meant that everyone was a rookie, and they were likely to fall into some traps. Well, he did. Now we know the formula to move on past it, as demonstrated by Hillary. “I made a mistake. In retrospect, it was a dumb move and I would not do it again. “

Will it be enough for the Left? Well of course not. The only thing that would be enough for the Left is for the entire administration to resign, and for Congress to appoint Hillary as POTUS. (Be careful what you wish for.) Of course, that is not going to happen.

For the Trumps, perhaps a few lessons might be learned.

  1. Be careful about hiring family. Just because you love and trust them does not mean they are right for the job, and firing them is tougher than with a stranger.
  2. Fighting back is all well and good. Better yet, is avoiding traps. There are plenty of people with experience in the political arena in which you are swimming willing to advise you. The ones you have are not serving you well. Find one who will, and stop doing stupid stuff, and get your people confirmed, and get your agenda passed.
  3. If it seems too good to be true, it is. Don’t be gullible.
  4. And from an old Cold Warrior, a cursory reading of history would tell you this: Don’t trust the Russians.

The establishment in DC, the press, and the Dems are not going to ever love the Trumps, or conservatives. And they will damage or destroy President Trump if they can.

 

President Trump and his son, and other advisers, should stop helping them.

The success of the Trump presidency appears to be making liberals uncomfortable beyond “truthful” words.

“Trump haters,” unable to leverage facts in decrying the leadership of Donald J. Trump, have been reduced to propagating “fake news” in an effort to bring him down.

In my lifetime, I’ve never seen such disregard for the fundamental principles of journalism as Americans are seeing from major news networks, like CNN, where it appears “truth, accuracy and impartiality” are no longer prerequisite to reporting.

Last week, CNN was forced to retract an editorial column on Friday that connected Anthony Scaramucci, an associate of Donald Trump, to a Russian investment fund managed by a Kremlin-controlled bank, per a column in The Hill by Julie Manchester the following day.

“On June 22, 2017, CNN.com published a story connecting Anthony Scaramucci with investigations into the Russian Direct Investment Fund,” the news organization said in a statement. “That story did not meet CNN’s editorial standards and has been retracted. Links to the story have been disabled. CNN apologizes to Mr. Scarmucci.”

Per Ms. Manchester’s piece, “the retracted story had claimed that Senate investigators were looking at the activities of the $10 billion Russian investment fund in connection to Scaramucci,” who served on President Trump’s transition team.

Now, President Trump has been quick to identify CNN as fake news, even downgrading their status to “very fake news” during an exchange with CNN’s White House reporter Jim Acosta in February. And frankly, it doesn’t get much “faker” than this story, which was totally fabricated, designed to further the false liberal narrative of Trump’s collusion with the Russians.

And it appears, Acosta and the “Clinton News Network,” as it’s been called, still harbor a grudge against the president.

Following the shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., and two Capitol Police officers by a leftist gunman during a GOP baseball practice, Scalise was taken to a Washington hospital where he was visited that evening by President Trump and first lady Melania. The president tweeted after the visit: “Just left hospital. Rep. Steve Scalise, one of the truly great people, is in very tough shape – but he is a real fighter. Pray for Steve!”

But apparently, without taking the time to verify his sources, CNN’s Acosta jumped on a “big scoop” that the president really did not visit Scalise and tweeted: “WH official on hospital visit: ‘President Trump did not meet with Scalise and did not go into the room where Scalise is being treated.'”

Acosta was forced to delete his tweet and report the exact opposite “but not before it was captured by several Twitter users; many accusing the CNN reporter of spreading fake news,” according to a column in Breitbart, by Jerome Hudson.

Truth is a defining attribute of any individual or organization, but certainly a news provider. When a news organization can no longer be trusted to deliver the truth, they become ineffectual.

CNN has chosen to place itself in that category.

It’s time for Americans to hold fake news organizations accountable by withholding viewership and support.

Mark Caserta: Dark politics flourish in nation of political unrest

The sting of hatred is far more injurious than the force of might. Its venom will immobilize a society.

Such appears to be the flourishing state of dark politics in our country, as it appears we’ve been infected by political domestic terrorists so distressed over the election of Donald J. Trump they’re willing to take the lives of innocent people simply because of political party.

“Republiphobia” you ask? Well, I’ve seen greater accusations on far less facts.

Prior to last week, I had only known Alexandria, Virginia, near Washington, D.C., as the home of T.C. Williams High School. You may recall the 2000 movie, “Remember the Titans,” starring Denzel Washington, depicting the true story of a newly appointed African-American coach and his high school team facing down the odds of racial discord to win a state championship and the unity of a community.

How ironic this same community, once used to portray a story of healing and unanimity, would be the stage for a horrific display of hatred and intolerance.

Last week, a gunman believed to be a supporter of former Democrat presidential candidate Bernie Sanders used a high-powered rifle to attack innocent people at a GOP baseball practice, critically wounding House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and injuring four others before being shot by U.S. Capital Police. Scalise, who suffered severe internal damage, has been upgraded to fair condition per last report.

Others injured, Zack Barth, a congressional aide to Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas, Tyson Foods director of government relations, Matt Mika, and Special Agents David Baily and Crystal Griner were “treated and released” per the New York Times.

This incident resonates additionally for me since my eldest son, his beautiful wife and my two precious grandbabies have a home just a couple of miles away.

Amid our nation’s political unrest, I can’t help but wonder what change liberals are proposing and just how far they’re willing to go to achieve it.

We’ve endured singer Madonna saying she’s “even thought about blowing up the White House.”

We’ve viewed comedian Kathy Griffin posing with a bloody, decapitated head in the likeness of Donald Trump.

We’ve watched while a New York-based arts organization staged a production of Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar” starring a Trump look-alike who is violently stabbed and murdered.

And incredibly, even President Trump’s 10-year-old son, Barron, isn’t safe from cowardly “Trump Derangement Syndrome” attackers.

In a January column by World Net Daily’s Chelsea Schilling, she reports that on inauguration weekend, leftist comedians and writers took to Twitter calling Barron a “rapist” and a “homeschool shooter,” even suggesting the innocent boy “is an arsonist.”

In what world are these behaviors acceptable? Yet, acceptance does indeed appear to be the pervasive attitude among liberals.

Liberal Democrats are allowing the sheer hatred of President Trump and his supporters to render them senseless to the needs of our country.

Let’s be clear. It’s not the Russians destroying our Democratic electoral process; it’s liberals.

And this isn’t a war on President Trump; it’s a war on you!

Americans decided overwhelmingly, in the manner governed by our Republic, to elect someone who was the antithesis of his predecessor. Anyone willing to be intellectually honest would admit our nation was in a death spiral both economically and on stage in the global theater. Americans knew we needed a true leader, one who would never place political correctness over the needs of our country.

America needed Donald J. Trump.

Liberals realized immediately after Trump won his party’s nomination that something was wrong. How could this outsider possibly have come this far in the race? Surely, this was a fluke. But nevertheless, something had to be done. So, they began the process of delegitamizing Donald Trump, the man.

Every step Trump took, it would be his last. Every time he tweeted, he’s surely crossed the line. Every time he said something politically incorrect, it was the beginning of the end for Donald Trump.

But it never happened. The more he resisted pressure to align with the Washington norm, the more popular he became.

But the months leading up to the 2016 presidential election set the stage for the ultimate shocker for liberals. Not a single progressive talking head could find a path to victory for Donald Trump.

Democrats and the mainstream media were certain Hillary Clinton would win in a landslide. Her pompous arrogance and assurance of victory prompted a feckless campaign which failed to propose any significant strategy beyond perpetuating the failed policies of Barack Obama.

Even when Hillary’s success within her own party became shaded after the Democrat National Committee website experienced a cyber-attack exposing Democrats attempting to undermine the presidential campaign of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Hillary’s faithful stood by her.

But in the wee hours of the morning, on Nov. 9, 2016, the walls of the DNC started to crumble. As final election returns were confirmed and reported by the news outlets, it appeared Donald Trump was winning. And not just barely winning. He was winning “big time.”

Liberal Democrats were livid, but not finished. After coming to terms with the results of the election, they had to do something to regain power, despite the unintended consequences. So, the current strategy to undermine the presidency of the United States and our electoral system began.

Even as jobs are returning and the world leaders are once again recognizing the leadership of the United States as legitimate, progressive anger flourishes. We see liberals acting erratically, using foul language and despicable displays of hatred against the president.

Is this the future you want for our country? Hate has never succeeded, and love never fails. It’s time for liberals to put America first.

It’s time to love our country more than you hate the president.

Liberal activism has been taken to an entirely new level in 2017 in terms of what progressives are willing to compromise to protect their movement. And it’s quite disturbing to observe where our nation and its citizens fall on their list of priorities.

Liberal hypocrisy, for example, leaves nothing to the imagination when it comes to U.S. relations with Russia. But for perspective, let’s look at a couple of examples.

In March 2012, when Barack Obama was running for re-election, a live microphone picked up his private conversation with then Russian President Dmitry Medvedev during a gathering in Seoul, South Korea.

President Obama: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.”

President Medvedev: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you ”

President Obama: “This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.”

President Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir, and I stand with you.”

Can you imagine how liberals and the major news outlets would have lambasted President Trump if he had been covertly recorded making such a remark? We would likely have millions of liberals marching in Washington calling for the president’s immediate impeachment for obvious and shameless Russian collusion.

In March 2009, during a trip to Geneva, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton presented Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov a small red button meant to represent a “Russian reset” of sorts between the U.S. and the Kremlin. While visiting Moscow in March 2010, Hillary explained the “reset’s” purpose: “Our goal is to help strengthen Russia,” as reported in an April 7 column by Deroy Murdock in National Review.

While the reset was a total failure for the U.S., many believe the ultimate Clinton/Russia relationship became profitable for the Clintons. In a deal known as “Uranium One,” Bill and Hillary may have sown some of their “entrepreneurial” oats for personal gain.

In April 2015, a story by Jo Becker and Mike McIntire in The New York Times detailed tens of millions of dollars in donations made to the Clinton Foundation following the approval by then-Secretary of State Clinton of the Russian acquisition of a company holding 20 percent of America’s uranium.

And Bill Clinton reportedly received a $500,000 speaking fee from a Russian government-connected bank during this time, as written by Jerome Hudson of Breitbart in March 2017.

Can anyone say liberal Russian collusion? Imagine, for a moment, the field day progressives would have if someone had even suggested Donald Trump or any one of his surrogates were involved in such deals!

Yet, progressive “snowflakes,” as they’ve been called, run around crying “election foul” when they don’t have a single shred of evidence, all the while ignoring fact-laden events of potential collusion that don’t support their ideology.

Frankly, this liberal hypocrisy and selective focus is very telling. One could surmise that progressives are only concerned with winning for their cause, regardless of the impact on our country.

Is there anything less patriotic?
