Mark Caserta: Potential 2024 election outcome strikes fear in progressives.

Losing power is a progressive’s greatest fear.

Progressives are very frightened this election cycle – and with good reason.

Historically, liberal Democrat campaigns (not “democratic, please) have been built around slogans such as “Change we can believe in,” or “Fundamental transformation” or “Forward” as Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign espoused.

Progressives would have you believe these campaign slogans dealt with issues such as healthcare reform, voting rights, economic equality, and social justice, among other issues. But in reality, these slogans reflect the liberal progressive march to eliminating any semblance of morality or standards heretofore associated with Christianity and our forefather’s vision for our nation.

The goal is and has always been to tenaciously desensitize Americans to the gradual increase in temperature around us, so we don’t leap like the proverbial frog from the boiling pot of water.

This progressive advance includes a move past capitalism and into a socialist society where the government has complete and absolute control over our lives.

But during this week’s Democrat National Convention, the slogan, “We won’t go back” was used by speakers several times, in lieu of their traditional view forward.

Believe me when I tell you they are not referencing socio-economic advancement for the American people!  They are, in fact, referencing their fear of losing their ill-gotten power and influence to conservative principled leaders and having the government returned to “We the people”.

Anyone doing their due diligence of fact-checking speeches from the DNC convention, including from the faux Democrat presidential nominee, will very quickly learn it was inundated with lies and deceitful statements to potential voters. The lack of substance regarding accomplishments from the past 3 ½ years was very telling.

Of course, it would be the epitome of hypocrisy for this administration to promise resolution of issues on day one, which they created!

Folks, there is a reason, Kamala Harris is being sequestered in the basement of the White House. Liberal progressives are not stupid. But they believe YOU ARE. They realize that if conservatives are successful at exposing her and her VP choice for whom they really are, they lose.

The strategy worked for Joe Biden, and they are betting it will work for Harris.

Understand, this strategy is supplemental to the liberal, multi-level “ballot harvesting” which helped secure the last election and our demise as a nation.

But amid all the smoke and mirrors, if one looks closely, you will see a dark state trembling at the thought of losing, once again, to Donald J. Trump. Frankly, these snowflakes still have PTSD over their loss to President Trump in 2016. It was at that point the planning began to do anything possible to remove him from office and keep him from ever returning – no matter what it took, legal or otherwise.

But fear is a tremendous motivator for the left. They will stop at nothing to win this election. Conservatives must take advantage of this moment to be even more motivated by their fear.

If Harris wins this election, it is no holds barred.  The Supreme Court will be fundamentally transformed. Our Republic will be unrecognizable. The future of our children will be dark. And the American dream will be unreachable.

Yes, it is that serious. Please, please do your homework and vote your faith.

Trust me when I say this will be our last chance. If we lose, conservatives may never win another election.

Mark Caserta: Two strategies we can employ to insure victory in the 2024 presidential election.

The choice isn’t just between two candidates. It’s far more.

We are truly at a crossroad in history.  The 2024 Presidential Election is not simply a choice between two candidates.  It’s a choice between free market Capitalism or government sanctioned Socialism.  There was a time in history when political candidates attempted to hide their socialist tendencies, but now they’ve created an environment in which they can run campaigns on them.

I began exposing the progressive movement 25 years ago with a column on a theory which weaponizes the economy known as, “The Cloward-Piven Strategy”.  It has now come to fruition.

The Cloward-Piven strategy is a political theory developed by sociologists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven in the late 1960s.  Its deployment calls for creating chaos in the welfare system to overwhelm it, enabling the government to act toward fundamentally transforming society.  The strategy involves capturing as many people as possible in the “government safety net” of provision for their needs.

You may ask what this strategy provides those who employed it. This ideology, along with every single other progressive ideology imposed upon the citizens of the United States is simply designed to keep liberal politicians in power.  It’s that simple.  It’s all about buying a vote.

Illegal immigration, Abortion rights, high prices and economic catastrophe, and the feigned support of every single so-called protected class in America (aside from Christians) are all designed to create a viable, sustainable voter base – period.

Yes, liberals will love and hug on you all day until you step out of the progressive line and challenge their dangerous agenda.  At that point, they will stop at nothing to discredit and destroy you.   Ask Elon Musk.

Understand, liberals do not care for you, nor do they love America.  Look around you.

Mothers are walking the aisles of the grocery stores trying to figure out how they are going to afford to feed their family.  Parents are having to make the decision between eating or paying their bills.  The price of bacon, for example, has increased by five times the cost 3 ½ years ago, per a CNN online column.

Yes, liberal politicians leveraged a pandemic to force businesses into raising wages. It was the only way they could make it happen.  Believe me when I tell you they knew what would happen.

 Service employees may be making more now than ever, but the result is prices have risen at a far higher rate!  The cost of fuel and transport fees have forced manufacturers to raise their prices, so in turn, the price of goods and services have increased.  Service employees may be making more money, but it’s paying for less than ever! 

And liberal politicians like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris could not care less.  They are above the economic impact “hard deck”.  Aviators know this term. Below the hard deck, you are considered dead.

To further exacerbate the situation, the liberal left has been successful in harvesting amazing numbers of ballots from their contrived voter base.  They’ve also been successful at developing software that “hacks” into voting machines.  One way is to simply add fake voters.  This is how many suspect Joe Biden earned over 80 million votes in 2020.  This was by far, more votes cast for any presidential candidate in U.S. history.

And he earned them all from his basement.  Go figure.

Another way it is suspected liberals molded the 2020 election outcome was to hack into the voting machines and delegitimize opposition voters. 

These techniques, along with other methods of illegal ballot harvesting, handed the 2020 Presidential election over to the current administration.

I don’t care to admit, that I’m very concerned over the election in November.  In my gut, I know how most Americans feel about how things are going.  It’s obvious that things have never been more upside down.  Bad is good and good is bad.  Kamala calls it, “What can be, unburdened by what has been.”

I propose two tactics to prevent this injustice from ever happening again.  It can be done.

First, per a 2023 Gallup poll, 63% of the U.S. population, or 210 million people identify as Christian.  If one-third of them vote – we win.

Second, pray.  The Bible says, “…If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” 

If two can accomplish this by fervent prayer, what can a million do!

Take a moment and pray this prayer.  Then pass this on to someone else.

“Father, we humble ourselves before you and seek your Divine wisdom and favor. We ask for your omnipotent intervention in the state of our union and our electoral system. We ask that you protect our electoral process and keep it fair and just.  We pray a hedge of protection around every device and human intent for a fair and equitable outcome for all our elections and that Your Will be done. We pray that no weapon formed against our Republic would prosper. Give us wisdom to make the right choice and diligence to do so when called upon. We give you all the Glory and Honor for protecting and prospering the people of our great nation. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen!

I’m more than confident, if we do these two things, as believers, we can win back our nation.

Mark Caserta: Stop calling the liberal leftists the “Democratic Party”

Call them the “Democrat Party”. Democracy left the Democrats long ago

Stop calling them the “Democratic Party”!

I wrote about this several years ago, but it never has taken root.

Do not refer to the Democrats as the “Democratic Party!”

Using the adjective “democratic” to describe the type of party the liberal left has become is an improper use of the descriptive term.

Democracy left progressives years ago. They are not the same party once led by JFK. There are something entirely, grossly, different. Frankly, something despicable.

Citizens of these United States live in a so-called democratic society, which describes an entity led by the majority of its members.

This is not entirely accurate in that a true democracy could be described as “mob rule”.

Mob rule in no shape or form suggests a people led by the rule of law. It more accurately describes the will of the masses, no matter the nobility or legality of the cause.

We are more accurately described as living in a Republic.

A Republic is a government in which the supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives.

Now, the key word here is “represented”! Sadly, that word has fallen from the political dictionary in many cases.

The will of the people should be a politician’s sole marching orders!

Understand that when we do not exercise our right to choose our representatives through the electoral process, we are abdicating that right to those who may or may not represent your belief system!

And don’t complain about what you permit! Voter turnout in our nation is embarrassingly low. We should be ashamed. In other nations, people risk their lives to exercise this right.

When you do not vote, you do not support the Republic – period.

The take-a-way of this commentary is that we should call the liberal left the “Democrat Party”.

It, then, becomes a simple moniker for a group of individuals who no longer love their country, United States Constitution, or the rule of law. They simply crave power and control, regardless of the will of their constituents.

So the next time you hear, someone refer to the progressives as the Democratic Party, feel free to correct them and tell them why.

And also make sure you model the example of patriotism by voting to keep our Republic alive and well.

Have you looked around lately?

It’s as though people are walking about dazed and confused as to how our country hit rock bottom so rapidly.  Drivers stand at the fuel pumps shaking their heads at skyrocketing gas prices.  Grocery carts seem less filled as shoppers attempt to navigate incredible pricing.  Lines at benefacting institutions inundated with people hoping to be able to provide for their families this time of year.

I downloaded a police scanner to my phone the other night, simply needing traffic information, and I had to delete it!  The flurry of activity of the downtrodden and hopeless was inescapable!  It made me anxious and irritable, just as the mainstream media news does to so many people!

There was a time when evil tried to disguise its antics, but that’s no longer the case.  It’s ramped and in your face!  Government officials are wielding the power they’ve finagled to obtain for years.  “We the People” have become the enemy of the left.  The Constitution of the United States is being portrayed as an antiquated document written by white supremacists in an era falsely portrayed by historians.

I’m appalled at those claiming to have “awakened” to social injustice in our nation when they don’t know the first thing about history!  It’s akin to those engaging in a riot when they haven’t a clue why they’re there.  They simply join the emotions of the moment.

Abraham Lincoln once was quoted as saying, “The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next”?  I believe we are in the season of harvest for just that sort of progressive planting by liberals. 

For decades progressives have fought tumultuously to remove any semblance of God from society, beginning with the classroom.  Without the Bible, morality and principles fall on a sliding scale commensurate with the movement of the day.  Activity one witnesses on mainstream television would have been deemed highly inappropriate even 20 years ago.

Liberals operate in a process called, “desensitization”.  Their modus operandi is to gradually move the needle of acceptable behavior with an infinite number of small victories.  Incorporated into a long-term plan, these wins moderately but consistently produce an altered degree of acceptance.

We essentially have become desensitized to the behavior and allow it to exist.  Yes, we allow it.

Why do you think the Bible says dozens of times that God’s Word is everlasting? It brilliantly reflects the holy, unchanging character of God Himself!  God knew that mankind, in their consistent failures, would attempt to change the rules to accommodate their lustful behavior.  Hence, removal of God’s Word is prerequisite to an adaptive and progressive lifestyle.

So, what does all this have to do with what’s happening around us?  Everything!  Understand, God’s strength is made manifest in our weakness.  We must humble ourselves and seek His face in resolving the world’s problems.

No man or woman is going to be able to repair the devastation in which we find ourselves.  God may choose to use them as an instrument, but His Will and Works will be the key.

Every election season, people ask me how they should vote.  I will continue to recommend they become knowledgeable about the issues and pray about how and for whom to vote.

Only God knows at this point. 

I heard a pastor from my church recently say, “When I raise my hands to fight, I raise them like this!”  He had his hand raised in the air, praising God!

Mark Caserta: Liberal Democrats are programmed as “Terminators”.

Liberal Democrats have all become “Terminators”.

Just like the cyborg assassin sent by “Skynet” to kill Sarah Connor in 2015, they have been repurposed and reprogrammed with the sole mission of getting rid of the President of the United States – Donald J. Trump.

Come hell or high water – get out of the way – he must go.  And until that final “spark of entity” has been extinguished inside liberals, they will literally “crawl” toward removing him from office! 

Not only do they hate him, they loathe him. They are obsessed with every step he takes, every move he makes – even unto death.

On September 17, 2020, Marshall University assistant professor Jennifer Mosher horrifically wished a “COVID death” for all of President Trump’s supporters before the presidential election.

That’s not only treasonous, it’s demented and evil.

Leftist Democrats hate our president more than they love the nation of people for whom he is commander-in-chief.

So, given the level of disdain the left has for Donald Trump and his supporters, what “wouldn’t” they do to remove him from the Oval Office?

Would they create a factitious Russian Dossier to get approval from the Department of Justice to conduct a witch-hunt investigation hoping to find any tidbit of “evidence” worthy of impeaching the president?

Would they target his family and business in hopes of securing some small piece of evidence that Donald Trump was an evil man?

Would leftist, activist members of the FBI intentionally ruin the careers and personal lives of war heroes to blackmail them into testifying against the president in a totally fabricated investigation?

Would liberal Democrats be willing to return to a poor economy, fewer jobs, and increased poverty just to make the president look inept?

Would the left be willing to withhold economic aid to Americans during the COVID epidemic until after the presidential election, simply to create the false belief that voters must make a change?

Would the liberal media be willing to pre-empt truths with total falsehoods to create a narrative of distrust and hate for this president?

Given the level of impact each of these damnable acts against the citizens of the United States AND the fact that each of them is documented, proven history…ask yourself, “Is there anything on the table liberal Democrats WOULD NOT DO to rid our country of President Trump?”

If your answer is “No”, one must ask, “Would they be willing to cheat during the upcoming election”?

Without a shadow of doubt – absolutely!  I have reason to believe liberal Democrats have had a plan in place for years to disenfranchise Trump voters as well as emancipate liberal voters who favor their mission of removing Trump.

And frankly, my dear, they don’t give a *&^%$ if you, the American people, know about it or not!

They believe once they are back in power it’s no holds barred.  Redemption and retribution draweth nigh for liberals who plan to re-pay Trump supporters and conservatives for the pain and anguish they’ve caused the left the past 4 years!

So, watch closely, my friends.  It’s already happening.  Rest assured, the only way President Trump wins the 2020 presidential election is to win it SO OVERWHELMINGLY it negates the thousands of votes that will be adversely impacted by liberal, treasonous thieves who couldn’t care less about America.

Getting rid of President Trump is liberal Democrat’s mission, at any cost. 

And you will pay the price if they succeed.

Mark Caserta: Here’s why liberal Democrats want to “defund” the police.

It’s positively, unequivocally, and in every other way – moronic.

It’s analogous to removing traffic lights and stop signs because some don’t work properly.

The idea of “defunding” the police by the liberal Democrats is simply the largest leap toward removing boundaries for progressives in our country’s history.  While it is, undoubtedly, ludicrous on the surface, it aligns perfectly with liberal ideology.

Progressivism is exactly what the moniker portrays.  Liberals “progressively” advance their agenda by vehemently pronouncing their presence and being the loudest voice in the room.  Even huge failures often result in small victories by moving the needle of morality ever so slightly to the left.

One must understand liberals view principle and morality on a sliding scale of standards.  It varies with every movement.  It’s consistency lies in the fact that it’s always, always contrary to God’s Word and conservatism and is tenacious in its onslaught.

A perfect example is Roe v Wade.

In 1973, the Supreme Court ruled that a woman’s liberty right (in this instance, whether to be pregnant or not) was stronger than the state’s interest in the life of the baby “up to a certain point” in the pregnancy.

Per the Court’s ruling, at the point of “viability” or the baby’s ability to survive outside the womb, the woman’s right to choose an abortion was outweighed by the potential life of the child. At that point, the Court ruled a state could prohibit women from having abortions. The only caveat was if the birth presented a health risk to the mother.

Just under 50 years later, liberals have challenged case after case and successfully moved the standard for protecting life far to the left.  In 2020, it’s seemingly as easy to have an abortion as it is to have a tooth pulled.  Sadly, it’s become murder of inconvenience.

That, my friend, is the progressive movement.  And that is exactly what is happening with the so-called “defund the police” movement by liberal activists.

Now, the police will not be eliminated.  Intelligent minds will prevail.  But we are seeing those with the ability to do so, reduce police funding and place citizens at risk. This is an impactful victory for liberals and the first step toward achieving a greater goal.

The left’s determination to subvert Democracy should be very disturbing for everyone and be the catalyst for staunch opposition from the right.

What law-abiding citizen in our country would want to eliminate or even reduce law enforcement? Most would support further funding for the safety of our families!  I submit, the majority of those supporting defunding would be only those constrained from committing lawless acts.  It’s extremely important for us to realize the many in the liberal media are complicit in making this happen.

Higher ratings? Perhaps.  But there are those, to include the media, who place the sovereignty of our nation and the safety of our people far below propagating their progressive agenda.

We’ve seen what happens when bad people are left unrestrained!  It results in chaos, destruction, and death – period.  That’s what is transpiring in city’s with liberal leadership!

It’s simply amazing what liberal Democrats are willing to compromise simply to rid themselves of the Trump presidency. They have proven they hate Donald Trump more than they love America – if they even love America at all!

What to do?  I’m glad you asked. It’s a question more people must begin asking.

The absolute only way you can make a difference is vote.  It is the universal language of politicians and the mainstream media.  I often ask how the same derelict representatives get elected year after year.

It’s because good people allow it to happen by not becoming informed, engaged, and voting to advance our Republic. 

Believe me when I tell you it isn’t going to get any easier.  We are at a point where conservatives must win elections by wide margins to reduce the opportunity for fraud.

President Ronald Reagan once said, “If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to.  This is the last stand on earth.”

Who is going to make that stand?  If conservative Christians don’t vote, we lose.  We lose our nation, our freedom, our right to worship and protect our family.

We lose it all.  Because, that’s what the liberal Democrats want from you.  They want it all.

Don’t give it to them.

President Barack Obama’s chief of staff Rahm Emanuel famously said in 2008, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. I mean, it’s an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.”

Hence the corruptive modus operandi of the Democrat Party.  The tactics are clearly visible in the COVID-19 controversy and now in the death of an unarmed black man in Minneapolis. 

These are not the Democrats of John F. Kennedy or Franklin D. Roosevelt.  In fact, they aren’t worthy of shining these former president’s shoes.  They certainly aren’t capable or even willing to serve our country.

Allow me to say, once again, it’s not the “Democratic Party” as so many clumsily ventilate.  I refuse to use the moniker! The term “Democratic” is an adjective describing the party. Understand, Democrats forsook Democracy years ago!

There are many adjectives I could use to describe the party of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer – Democratic isn’t one of them.

Let’s be clear. The rioting and looting in Minneapolis and across the nation have little to do with the death of George Floyd, as tragic as it was.  People genuinely desirous of making positive change protest passionately, but peacefully.  The solution can’t be worse than the problem.

It wasn’t until the professional protestors showed up that matters escalated out of control.  The majority of individuals being arrested at these violent gatherings are not locals, but “ringers” financed for the sole purpose of inciting violence and reckless behavior.

Groups like ANTIFA, a militant, left-wing, anti-fascist political activist movement seek out these opportunities like “heat-seeking” missiles with the aim of achieving their destructive objectives of chaos and violence.

ANTIFA comes to the scene fully equipped to spur hatred, fuel the fire of violent protest and capture video supporting their anarchical cause.

After the buildings are burned, the smoke clears and enough people have paid the price of Capitalism, they leave.  Citizens are left to deal with the damage and pillage through the ruins.

It’s the perfect storm for socialist-minded, liberal-leaning, U.S. hating punks without functioning lives to live.  And they are willing pawns for those seeking to gain from disaster.  It’s the epitome of despicable.

These folks place their agenda above the peace and prosperity of our nation – period.

Unfortunately, many of them represent us in government supported by disengaged, destructive-minded, liberal minions.

But, who funds these pathetic purveyors of pandemonium?

You may or may not be surprised to know that beyond the philanthropic support of liberals like George Soros, there are groups posing as news organizations who rely on clamor and commotion for ratings. 

These organizations have a “waiting list” of reckless-minded individuals ready, willing and able to travel to the otherwise “peaceful” protests to ignite the flames of rebellion resulting in crimes of looting and destruction.

Just follow the camera angles and view the footage for clues as to who these “journalistic” organizations and financiers may be.  All crimes need a motivated offender, a suitable target and the absence of a capable guardian.  You can be “Columbo” in this investigation.

It’s simply the age-old battle between “good” and “evil”.

There are good people in our nation simply wanting to live their lives, support their families and prosper in a nation God has so richly blessed with good and perfect gifts. These people will rise to defend their families and nation in a responsible manner.

But there are also bad people, blinded by the enemy and driven by evil who are hiding in the darkness waiting for the opportunity to steal, kill and destroy.  These individuals will compromise your rights as the means to an evil end and not think twice about it.

We know who wins in the end.  But it’s up to good people to bring light unto the world. When light enters, darkness has to flee.

But why have liberals been so successful? Sadly, we’ve allowed it to happen.

If there was ever a time for Christian conservatives to do their duty and vote – the time is now.

We are the absolute only hope for stopping the progressive movement!

I repeat – the only hope.

The spoils of this war involve the future of our nation and the safety of our children.

I’m not willing to give that up. You shouldn’t be either.

Together, we will win. Guaranteed.

Divided, we lose everything.

Mark Caserta: Scott Caserta will take back the city of Huntington from deep-state liberals who stole it from you.

In just a little over 3 years, with incredible fortitude and leadership, President Donald J. Trump has essentially negated the ultra-liberal presidency of Barack Hussein Obama.  Our economy, (prior COVID-19) our military, jobs, and American exceptionalism are all on the rise!

And liberals hate him for it! In fact, they hate him much more than they love our country!

If Barack Hussein Obama had experienced a portion of the success in his eight feckless years as president, he would have been hailed as the greatest president in history by Democrats!

The hypocrisy is overwhelmingly obvious!

Can you even imagine what shape our economy would be in right now if we hadn’t bolstered it with the Trump presidency!  And he’s doing it with conservative ideology and Biblically sound principles.

Now, can you imagine what could happen in The Jewel City with the same type of leadership!

We have an opportunity to do the very same thing here in Huntington, WV. by electing a mayor who will use conservative policies and Biblical principles in his approach.  We need a mayor who will uproot the progressive value system Mayor Williams has forced upon the good citizens of Huntington.

We need a true leader who will face down the deep state that’s enveloped our city in the darkness of dilapidation and destitution.

Brother or not…the facts have been weighed. 

There is a conservative candidate who will take back the city of Huntington, WV. from the hands of the deep-state liberals. 

We need Scott Caserta as mayor of Huntington.

I find it extremely amusing, disingenuous and even a bit ignorant for Scott’s opponents to be leveling a negative campaign against him for being a Democrat for 12 years.

Scott’s opposition should study their history!

The “Great Communicator”, sometimes referred to as the “father of conservatism” was a Democrat 33 years, before switching to the Republican Party in 1962.  Ronald Reagan was instrumental in the demise of communism and was one of the greatest presidents in U.S. history!  But, do you know why Reagan switched parties?

“I didn’t leave the Democratic Party.  They left me,” Reagan said of his departure. Ronald Reagan “bravely” made the choice to represent his constituents over a “party”!

And with the Democrat Party moving further to the left, the same could not be truer for today’s politics!

The Democrat Party left Scott Caserta and many others in our state. It’s no longer the party of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman or John F. Kennedy.  It’s become the party of avowed socialist Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and Steve Williams!

And that’s not the America or the Huntington we want – period.  Scott’s opponents are attacking him for the bravery he exhibited in deciding “people” over “party”.  He’s not interested in prospering the Democrat Party or even the Republican Party!

Scott’s interested in prospering the city of Huntington!

Based on the behaviors and actions of our current mayor and city officials, it’s fair to say (actually, an understatement) we have a city administration that aligns “unfavorably” with conservatism. Their inability to manage the city of Huntington has adversely impacted many people. And since they haven’t a clue as to how to bring in industry, create jobs or clean up our city, they are attempting to build an economic model on drug rehabilitation.

And trust me when I tell you, there are people profiting by attracting and at times, “delivering” addicts within our city limits for drug treatment. Our city, for all intents and purposes, has become a sanctuary for addiction.

Albeit at a local level, these policies couldn’t be more devastatingly liberal, perversely progressive and devastatingly detrimental to our city as, they were for our country!

If our city leaders worked as hard creating an environment conducive to industry and manufacturing as they do for becoming an addiction sanctuary, we’d be a very different city. The self-serving nature of our mayor and his minions is eroding our city’s very foundation.

Just as our nation needed a profoundly different type of leadership following the “fundamental change” of Barack Obama, the city of Huntington needs opposition leadership with the business acumen and intestinal fortitude to return our city to greatness.

We need someone with a proven record of unwavering commitment to public servitude. We need someone willing to make the unpopular decision, yet willing to always act in the best interest of the community. We need someone willing to adhere to Godly values in decision-making.

Scott Caserta is the most qualified candidate to make this happen.

It’s very simple. We need to drain the swamp in Huntington, expose the deep state and begin replacing those politicians who couldn’t care less about a viable future for the citizens of Huntington and returning our city to wealth and prosperity.

We need integrity in politics, not attacks using monikers based on pre-conceived notions and political aspirations.  Politics have become tired and irrelevant to many because of this approach.

Yes, Scott’s my brother and I love him.  But he’ll be the first to tell you, the future of the city of Huntington is more important than just seeing him elected.  We don’t agree on everything.  But we work together and listen to the other’s position. We learn from each other and have the other’s best interest at heart.

And we don’t try to build our own legacy by destroying the other’s.  That’s a sad eulogy for any politician.  “I built my legacy, by tearing yours down”.  That’s very sad, indeed.

Citizens of Huntington, I believe in you.  I trust you will make the right decision. You’re smarter than anyone gives you credit for.  You want our city to be a place people want to live and raise a family, not a place people can’t wait to leave.

You can make this happen! Get informed.  Get engaged.  Pray about it.  And then vote your heart.

Most importantly, go with God.

Mark Caserta: Tearing down one’s political opponent doesn’t improve one’s stature as a candidate.

Why do some candidates resort to this tactic?  There’s always a reason!

It’s been said, all politics are local.  What a shame the mayoral race in Huntington is being tainted by attack and innuendo within the Republican Party.

Yes, sadly, the Huntington mayor race has become laden with disingenuous political attacks designed to manipulate citizens into voting “against” another candidate versus voting “for” the attacking candidate.

It’s very disappointing to me this is happening in the Huntington mayoral race, much less within the GOP. Tearing others down does not increase your stature as a candidate.

It’s truly disconcerting to see how the desire for power will cause good men to fall.

It’s an age-old trap, but one aptly set for aspiring politicians, baited with the local pomp and circumstance of the mayor’s office.

But, God’s Truth doesn’t need man’s help to be made manifest!

Character above reproach is what God equipped man to achieve. And character is what you do when no one is looking. Our city doesn’t need divisive politics. Politics have become derisive enough without flailing help from contenders in the Republican Party.

We are better than that.  Or, at least, we should be.

I’m not talking about standing up for one’s principles and values on the field of political battle.  We all want a representative who will fight for their constituents!

I’m talking about casting doubt on someone else’s values and commitment just to win an election! 

Some attacks have even gone as far as question a candidate’s Christianity and use of God’s Word.

That’s just not right.  And it’s not Biblical.

God’s Word is the Sword of the Spirit.  Try going to battle without it!  And giving thanks for His many blessings is a sweet aroma to Heaven.

Is this what you’re looking for in a mayor?  Is this the type behavior that will make our city proud?

We need someone to unify us in returning to “The Jewell City”, we once were.  We need someone who will facilitate pride in our people and a desire to rise from the ashes, as we’ve done in the past.  We need someone who will not only declare God’s Word, but live by it.

Be wary of politicians who spend more time disparaging other candidates than they do exalting their platform.  There’s always a reason.

Here’s a tip for you heading to the polls.

If your vote is prompted by someone urging you to submit a “retaliation vote” versus a vote derived from sound judgment, it’s probably the wrong thing to do.

Ignore political rant. Ignore political grandstanding. Ignore the left-wing, local media.

You have what it takes to make the right choice!

Become informed and seek God’s wisdom before voting. It’s too important not to.  He will always honor and prosper what you “set your hand and mind to”.

These words are truth, regardless of  mayoral candidates running locally, or presidential candidates in Washington.

They are simply postulates and truth in life.  They never fade away.

Go with God!
