The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 51% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-eight percent (48%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 35% who Strongly Approve of the way the president is performing and 39% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -4. (see trends).

Regular updates are posted Monday through Friday at 9:30 a.m.  Eastern (sign up for free daily email update).

Now that Gallup has quit the field, Rasmussen Reports is the only nationally recognized public opinion firm that still tracks President Trump’s job approval ratings on a daily basis. If your organization is interested in a weekly or longer sponsorship of Rasmussen Reports’ Daily Presidential Tracking Poll,  please send e-mail to beth@rasmussenreports.com .

Former FBI Director James Comey has taken to print and the airwaves to angrily denounce Trump, the man who fired him last year. But voters don’t rate Comey’s FBI performance too highly, and more think he should be legally punished for leaking to the media.

Comey incorrectly notes in his new book that polls in October 2016 showed Hillary Clinton was most likely to win the presidency. Not all polls. Rasmussen Reports and two others showed that it was a close race, and they were the ones who proved to be right on Election Day.

Comey earned the wrath of many Democrats just before Election Day 2016 with his reopening and reclosing of the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information. Clinton initially listed Comey’s actions as perhaps the chief reason for her stunning loss to Trump, and 44% of Democrats agreed.

At the time, however, 60% of all voters agreed with Comey’s decision to go public with the reopened investigation shortly before the election. In a survey just before that decision was announced, 53% continued to disagree with the FBI’s decision not to seek a criminal indictment of Clinton.

Prior to reports of a new gas attack on civilians in Syria, fewer voters here viewed the war-torn Middle Eastern nation as vital to U.S. national security.

Tomorrow’s Tax Day. Find out at 10:30 how many Americans expect to make the deadline.

Some states are attempting to tackle income inequality at the state level, but when it comes to salaries, Americans think decisions should stay in the hands of the employer.

Still, most Americans support equal pay for men and women, although they’re not convinced that discrimination is the sole reason for wage disparities now.

See “What They Told Us” in surveys last week.

Some readers wonder how we come up with our job approval ratings for the president since they often don’t show as dramatic a change as some other pollsters do. It depends on how you ask the question and whom you ask.

To get a sense of longer-term job approval trends for the president, Rasmussen Reports compiles our tracking data on a full month-by-month basis.

Rasmussen Reports has been a pioneer in the use of automated telephone polling techniques, but many other firms still utilize their own operator-assisted technology (see methodology).

Daily tracking results are collected via telephone surveys of 500 likely voters per night and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. To reach those who have abandoned traditional landline telephones, Rasmussen Reports uses an online survey tool to interview randomly selected participants from a demographically diverse panel. The margin of sampling error for the full sample of 1,500 Likely Voters is +/- 2.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Results are also compiled on a full-week basis and crosstabs for full-week results are available for Platinum Members.

state of trump

The Trump presidency is benefiting America in many ways. Among them is exposing liberals for whom they really are – partisan extremists who apparently despise Donald Trump more than they love their own country.

I was certainly not a fan of President Obama, but when he did something good for our nation, albeit seldom, I supported him. Sadly, liberals are choosing to selfishly relinquish our nation’s prosperity rather than support President Trump.

For nearly a year and a half, liberals have done everything from propagating fake Russian collusion to interviewing hookers and adult film stars to discredit this president.

I can’t help but shake my head when I see the mainstream media, as well as local columnists, focusing on Trump’s “womanizing,” his “associations” or his time spent on the golf course as examples of how he isn’t “fit” or “qualified” to be president of the United States.

Where were these liberal cynics during the “porno-presidency” of Bill Clinton, during which no less than eight women accused “slick Willy” of everything from sexual misconduct to rape during his controversial political career? Yet, he’s become iconic to liberal Democrats!

Where were the progressive dissenters during the “socialist presidency” of Barack Obama when questions arose regarding his association with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn, unrepentant terrorists with the Weather Underground, an organization responsible for bombings, killings, violent protests and other anti-American activities during the 1960s and 1970s?

And if playing golf is a detriment, please! President Obama was on the fairways soon after tragedies such as the brutal beheading of American journalist James Foley by the Islamic State.

Don’t insult the intelligence of the American people with your double-standard assault against our president. It’s clear your wrath is birthed from your realization Donald Trump is rapidly eradicating the progress liberals enjoyed during the Obama presidency.

And conservatives, “let not your hearts be troubled” as the mainstream media attempt to persuade Americans the Trump administration is in chaos. These are the same left-wing prognosticators who assured you Hillary would win in a landslide.

So, while liberals languish in progressive denial, let’s delight in some of Trump’s accomplishments, shall we?

President Trump gave Americans a huge tax cut by passing GOP tax-reform reducing individual rates as well as corporate rates. Apple Inc. will reportedly bring hundreds of billions of overseas dollars back to the U.S. and pay about $38 billion in taxes, while investing billions on domestic jobs, manufacturing and data centers in coming years, per Fortune.

Neil Gorsuch’s confirmation to the Supreme Court to succeed the late Antonin Scalia was a tremendous win for Americans. This preserved the court’s narrow conservative majority and paved the way to improve that majority moving forward.

Cutting massive government regulation for businesses has truly been a signature win for President Trump, prompting a resurgence in the energy industry. The president also expanded oil drilling in the Arctic and Gulf of Mexico and approved the Keystone XL pipeline rejected by his predecessor.

President Trump empowered our military commanders to effectively deal with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, rendering them virtually powerless in the region, saving countless lives.

And as our nation’s GDP continues to climb, our economy is surging and jobs are rapidly returning for all demographics.

President Trump may act a little unorthodox at times, but that’s OK. It’s refreshing to have a president unconcerned about being politically correct.

So, despite liberals attempting to distract Americans from his accomplishments, President Trump is proving he loves his country much more than playing politics with feckless swamp dwellers.

Stop taking your hatred of Trump, out on your country!

state of trump

I sat before the television last Tuesday anxiously awaiting the 45th president of the United States’ first official State of the Union address.

“Mr. Speaker, the president of the United States!” announced the sergeant at arms, as President Donald Trump made his way to the podium, joining Vice President Mike Pence and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan.

My heart swelled with pride in anticipation of the president’s speech to the American people. Sadly, some liberal Democrats chose to skip this momentous occasion, choosing instead to boycott President Trump’s efforts to unite our country in lieu of their progressive agenda.

Some predicted President Trump would use the address to build upon his “America first” policies, but his measured, presidential oratory focused on much more.

With members of the Cabinet looking on, the House speaker used his gavel to present the president of the United States to the House Gallery. After the thunderous applause settled, the president began recapping his year-long journey to making America great again.

“Over the last year, we have made incredible progress and achieved extraordinary success,” the president said. “We have faced challenges we expected, and others we could never have imagined. We have shared in the heights of victory and the pains of hardship. We endured floods and fires and storms. But through it all, we have seen the beauty of America’s soul, and the steel in America’s spine.

“So, let’s begin tonight by recognizing the state of the union is strong, because our people are strong.”

The president proceeded to eloquently make his case for a stronger America. He noted that since his election, 2.4 million new jobs, including 200,000 new jobs in manufacturing alone, have been created and that after years of “wage stagnation” Americans are finally seeing rising wages.

He boasted unemployment claims hitting a 45-year low with African-American and Hispanic American unemployment hitting the lowest rates ever recorded.

President Trump noted small-business confidence is at an all-time high and the stock market keeps smashing one record after another, gaining more than $8 trillion in value since his election. Americans are reaping the dividends in skyrocketing 401(k)s, retirement plans, pensions and college savings.

The president heralded the promise he kept to the American people by enacting the “biggest tax cuts and reforms in American history,” nearly doubling the average standard deduction. The elimination of the Obamacare individual mandate, which forced individuals to purchase a government-ordered health plan or pay a penalty, was a huge win for Americans and our economy.

The president spoke of “faith and family,” not “government and bureaucracy,” as the center of American life and reminded us our motto is “in God we trust.”

Frankly, it was embarrassing to see most liberal Democrats sitting and scowling even as President Trump extolled these wins for America.

But despite liberal rancor, the state of the union is becoming much stronger. America is, once again, beginning to feel like the “land of the free and the home of the brave.”

Thank you, Mr. President, for putting America and our people first!

Mark Caserta: Trump effect moving the US ‘great-o-meter’

Jan 26, 2018

junior

In what some are calling “The Trump Effect,” our president is rapidly moving the needle on America’s “great-o-meter”! This past weekend marked “a day which will live in infamy” for liberals – the anniversary of the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump.

In honor of this day, I’d like to share a few “victorious headlines” from the domestic front in 2017.

Our U.S. “jobless rate is at a 10-year low as hiring grows and wages rise,” per a May 2017 column by Patricia Cohen in The New York Times.

A January 2018 column by Dom Caliccio of Fox News reads, “Food stamp recipients down 2M under Trump, USDA figures show.”

“Border crossing hits 45-year low” was a portion of a headline for a December 2017 column by S.A. Miller of The Washington Times.

The successes of 2017 were delivered by Donald Trump and the American people. Despite ravenous hatred by liberals, Trump’s mystique and total disregard for political correctness resonate with most Americans. Donald Trump is doing exactly what voters hired him to do – “drain the Washington swamp” and “make America great again!”

President Trump also promised Americans he would improve the U.S. business climate and persuade American companies that outsource jobs or manufacture products abroad to bring their manufacturing, jobs and money back home.

Last Wednesday, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced his company would repatriate some $250 billion back to the U.S. As part of their five-year, $30 billion reinvestment plan, Apple will open a new campus and pay $38 million in taxes on its overseas cash.

Per a column by Stephen Nellis of Reuters, Apple’s spending plan includes hiring 20,000 people, broadening their business with U.S.-based suppliers and spend $350 billion in the U.S. over the next five years.

When asked in an interview if President Trump’s tax reform bill prompted Apple’s repatriation of funds and business to the U.S., Tim Cook shared his reasoning.

“Let me be clear: There are large parts of this that are a result of tax reform, and there’s large parts of this we would have done in any situation,” Cook said in the interview with ABC News.

But while this is the largest single return of business to the U.S., Apple is simply joining the ranks of others announcing similar moves in 2017, as detailed in a Fox News Insider column.

General Motors announced a $1 billion investment in U.S. factories, moving some production from Mexico to Michigan. Hyundai announced its subsidiaries, including Hyundai and Kia, have allocated more than $3 billion for supporting their factories in Georgia and Alabama. German chemical giant Bayer AG promised billions of dollars in research and development in the U.S., creating 3,000 new jobs.

And don’t forget Carrier and Ford reversing plans earlier to move some manufacturing overseas.

The political theater has changed. The days of electing a president based on an ability to eloquently pander to Americans and leverage victimization, polarization and division to garner power and influence are forever gone.

And Americans are, once again, winning.

Mark Caserta: Trump tax reform a win-win for country

    president trump

Let’s talk tax reform from 30,000 feet, shall we?

I choose not to bore you with numbers. The vast number of scenarios for which the statistics may be manipulated in service of either side are often a “disservice” to the American people.

My experience with liberals is they lack the necessary business acumen to understand the free market. Questions like, “How are we going to pay for tax cuts?” expose their ignorance at how the system works.

Liberal Democrats are more concerned about not having as much of your money to spend than they are about giving you a tax break!

This mindset explains liberal Democrat policies that typically “pick” winners and losers and reward failure and non-productivity. It looks all “warm and fuzzy” to their voter base, but it’s not what makes America great.

President Trump’s “Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017” is as much of a jobs bill as it is tax reform.

Allow me to ask liberals a simple question. Who creates jobs?

Liberals believe it’s government. Conservatives believe it’s the private sector.

Jobs in our country are created by those with an entrepreneurial spirit and the means to do so! Every business owner began with a vision, “start-up” capital, and a work force sufficient to the task.

Success depends on many factors, including management, cost control and a product with the demand necessary to sustain cash flow. The subsequent viability of a company is impacted by its ability to deliver a quality product or service at a perceived value for the customer. Delivering quality and value on a consistent basis increases the demand for the product.

And demand for the product determines the number of employees needed for production or service!

Suppose federal taxes on the business owner were more heavily burdensome to their bottom line than nearly every other country in the world? This impact on the business’s viability is why U.S. companies move to more business-friendly nations! Companies remaining in the states are limited in their ability to expand and hire more employees.

And businesses aren’t going to simply absorb the added costs. They charge the end user more money for the product or service. You see it every day in the grocery or retail store.

Trump’s Tax reform is a “win-win” for everyone.

Businesses will have more capital from which to operate, incentivizing growth and producing jobs.

Per the Tax Foundation’s “Taxes and Growth model,” the “long-run GDP growth will increase by 3.9 percent above what it would have done otherwise, wages will rise by 3.1 percent and we’ll create 975,000 more full-time equivalent jobs.”

Additionally, beyond consumers not being forced to cover the additional costs at the cash register, the “vast majority” of middle-class America will begin receiving a “significant tax reduction and simplification in 2018,” per The Washington Examiner.

Don’t be fooled by liberals who say middle class America “loses” because everyone, including the wealthy, gets a tax break.

The biggest losers are liberal Democrats who voted 100% against giving you back more of your hard-earned money.

Mark Caserta: Trump’s 2017 wins carry no weight for liberals

    trump in wv

The election of Donald Trump to president of the United States has been a gift that kept on giving to the American people throughout 2017.

Recently, the Washington Examiner ran a column by Paul Bedard titled, “Year One List: 81 major Trump achievements, 11 Obama legacy items repealed.” I’d like to share a few from the impressive list.

As a top priority, Donald Trump has worked toward protecting the U.S. homeland. Illegal immigration on the U.S.-Mexico border is “the lowest in 17 years,” per border authorities. The progress he’s making toward building the border wall with Mexico and cracking down on sanctuary cities will spur even greater impact.

President Trump successfully has prosecuted the war against ISIS, empowering commanders with the weaponry and authority needed to defeat the enemy. The coalition against ISIS has recaptured over 95 percent of its previously held territory and the Islamic caliphate has been seriously crippled.

The president has pursued a “peace through strength” strategy by rebuilding our military and revitalizing partnerships with our allies. President Trump recently acquired an additional $21 billion in Department of Defense funding to address “urgent readiness shortfalls.”

Fulfilling his campaign pledge to American families, President Trump’s policies have greatly impacted jobs and the economy. For the first time in over 10 years, our nation’s GDP is growing above 3 percent, unemployment has been cut to 4.1 percent and 1.7 million new jobs have been created.

The recent passage of tax reform provided $5.5 billion in tax cuts for Americans and repealed the Obamacare individual mandate, which effectually will defund Obamacare and eventually eliminate the healthcare debacle. Consumer confidence is at a 17-year high while the Dow Jones continues to set records.

President Trump has eliminated job-killing regulations, demanding two regulations be killed for every new one created. He far exceeded that expectation in 2017, with 16 regulations being cut for each new one, saving $8.1 billion. He withdrew the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement, ending the threat of overreaching, fruitless environmental regulations.

The president’s gift to our area was ending Obama’s war on coal and returning jobs to coal-producing states. In pursuit of U.S. energy independence, President Trump expanded energy infrastructure projects like the Keystone XL and the Dakota Access pipelines, which were snubbed by Obama.

In his fight to preserve life, President Trump reinstated and expanded the Mexico City Policy which requires foreign non-governmental organizations to certify they won’t “perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning” as a condition for receiving U.S. global family assistance funding.

And not only did Trump deliver a conservative Supreme Court justice, Neil Gorsuch, to our highest court, he nominated 73 federal judges cut from the same “conservative cloth”!

The list goes on, my friends.

But the “list” doesn’t matter to liberals. They’ll never applaud these accomplishments for America. Does their hatred of Trump eclipse their love of country?

Regardless, President Trump keeps winning for Americans and restoring respect for our nation across the globe.

Stay focused on the mission, Mr. President. America loves a winner!

    MAKING AMERICA GA

Despite what the mainstream media and liberals would have you believe, there is no anti-Trump “wave” throughout our country from previous supporters. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

Rather than a “wave” against the president, the president’s increasing number of wins has gone so far as to solidify and broaden his base of supporters.

And conservatives certainly aren’t dissuaded by the liberal meltdown over their unsettling loss in the 2016 presidential election. It’s sad they keep allowing it to fuel their flames of discontent to the point they can’t seem to rationalize what’s good for America!

In a single year, Donald Trump has successfully negated a large portion of the damage caused by the Obama administration by doing exactly what he promised his constituents – win on behalf of the American people!

America is beginning to win at home with people going back to work. I’m encouraged as I travel through the coalfields of West Virginia, Kentucky and Pennsylvania and see coal trucks and barges, once again, filled with coal for transport. And while the labor participation rate is still way too low, we’re well on our way to jobs recovery with the unemployment rate falling to 4.3 percent, a 17-year low, per the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Remarkably, per an August column in Breitbart by John Carney, the American economy has added more than 1 million jobs since President Donald Trump took office, despite economists predicting a job slump this year. Carney reports that America has added more than 200,000 jobs in four of Trump’s first six months in office!

Even an August column in CNN Money, by Chris Isidore, confirms the economy created an average of 179,000 new jobs in each of the first six months of Trump’s presidency – far better than his predecessor’s first six months, when 3.4 million jobs were lost!

Illegal immigration along the U.S.Mexico border is also declining at an amazing rate. In March, the Border Patrol recorded 12,193 apprehensions at the Southwest border, the lowest in 17 years, per the Border Patrol and confirmed by Politifact. And Trump hasn’t even built the wall yet!

It simply required a decisive, unwavering stance on illegal immigration by a leader who values sovereignty and safety over a voter base dependent upon the hands that feed them. It’s really that simple.

So, why does America returning to greatness annoy liberal Democrats and the GOP establishment? Why would these Trump naysayers be willing to cripple the presidency of Donald Trump when doing so would be harmful to most Americans?

Sadly, for many of these career politicians, politics have become so entrenched in winning for the party, that the needs of the American people don’t seem to factor into the equation. In what world would we hire them to fight against lowering taxes and reducing illegal immigration?

The “swamp” is still very deep and crawling with loathsome varmints. Electing Donald Trump was the first step toward draining it dry. Rest assured, he will be calling on voters to play an integral role in expediting the process.

Pat Buchanan: ‘The real indictment here is of the American political system’

    31 Oct

THAT OTHER PLOT – TO BRING DOWN TRUMP

    PAT 1

Well over a year after the FBI began investigating “collusion” between the Trump campaign and Vladimir Putin, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has brought in his first major indictment.

Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort has been charged with a series of crimes dating back years, though none is tied directly to President Donald Trump or 2016.

With a leak to CNN that indictments were coming, Mueller’s office stole the weekend headlines. This blanketed the explosive news on a separate front, as the dots began to be connected on a bipartisan plot to bring down Trump that began two years ago.

And like “Murder of the Orient Express,” it seems almost everyone on the train had a hand in the plot.

The narrative begins in October 2015.

Then it was that the Washington Free Beacon, a neocon website, engaged a firm of researchers called Fusion GPS to do deep dirt-diving into Trump’s personal and professional life – and take him out.

A spinoff of Bill Kristol’s The Weekly Standard, the Beacon is run by his son-in-law. And its Daddy Warbucks is the GOP oligarch and hedge-fund billionaire Paul Singer.

From October 2015 to May 2016, Fusion GPS dug up dirt for the neocons and never-Trumpers. By May, however, Trump had routed all rivals and was the certain Republican nominee.

So the Beacon bailed, and Fusion GPS found two new cash cows to finance its dirt-diving – the DNC and the Clinton campaign.

To keep the sordid business at arm’s length, both engaged the party’s law firm of Perkins Coie. Paid $12.4 million by the DNC and Clinton campaign, Perkins used part of this cash hoard to pay Fusion GPS.

Here is where it begins to get interesting.

In June 2016, Fusion GPS engaged a British spy, Christopher Steele, who had headed up the Russia desk at MI6, to ferret out any connections between Trump and Russia.

Steele began contacting old acquaintances in the FSB, the Russian intelligence service. And the Russians began to feed him astonishing dirt on Trump that could, if substantiated, kill his candidacy.

Among the allegations was that Trump had consorted with prostitutes at a Moscow hotel, that the Kremlin was blackmailing him, that there was provable collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

In memos from June to October 2016, Steele passed this on to Fusion GPS, which passed it on to major U.S. newspapers. But as the press was unable to verify it, they declined to publish it.

Steele’s final product, a 35-page dossier, has been described as full of “unsubstantiated and salacious allegations.”

Steele’s research, however, had also made its way to James Comey’s FBI, which was apparently so taken with it that the bureau considered paying Steele to continue his work.

About this “astonishing” development, columnist Byron York of the Washington Examiner quotes Sen. Chuck Grassley:

“The idea that the FBI and associates of the Clinton campaign would pay Mr. Steele to investigate the Republican nominee for president in the run-up to the election raises … questions about the FBI’s independence from politics, as well as the Obama administration’s use of law enforcement and intelligence agencies for political ends.”

The questions begin to pile up.

What was the FBI’s relationship with the British spy who was so wired into Russian intelligence?

Did the FBI use the information Steele dug up to expand its own investigation of Russia-Trump “collusion”? Did the FBI pass what Steele unearthed to the White House and the National Security Council?

Did the Obama administration use the information from the Steele dossier to justify unmasking the names of Trump officials who had been picked up on legitimate electronic intercepts?

In testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee, Clinton campaign chair John Podesta and DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz claimed they did not know that Perkins Coie had enlisted Fusion GPA or the British spy to dig up dirt on Trump.

Yet, when Podesta testified, the lawyer sitting beside him in the committee room was Marc Elias of Perkins Coie, who had engaged Fusion GPS and received the fruits of Steele’s undercover work.

Here one is tempted to cite Bismarck that, if you wish to enjoy politics or sausages, you should not inquire too closely how they are made.

Thus we have Free Beacon neocons, never-Trump Republicans, the Hillary Clinton campaign, the DNC, a British spy and comrades in Russian intelligence, and perhaps the FBI, all working with secret money and seedy individuals to destroy a candidate they could not defeat in a free election.

If future revelations demonstrate that this is what went down, it is not only the White House that has major problems.

If you wish to know why Americans detest politics and hate the “swamp” that has been made of their capital city, follow this story all the way to its inevitable end. It will be months of unfolding.

The real indictment here is of the American political system, and the true tragedy is the decline of the Old Republic.

Mark Caserta: Liberals affected by Trump Derangement Syndrome

Mark Caserta:  Free State Patriot editor

    Oct 27, 2017

    hillary and trump

So-called “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” or TDS, seems to have infected the minds of liberals across the land. While apparently impacting the brain and central nervous system, I believe it’s critically impairing the left’s ability to reason or comprehend facts.

The Center for Advanced Conservative Studies is said to be working to determine if TDS is indeed responsible for liberals laboring to undermine, either willingly or unknowingly, everything President Trump intends to accomplish on behalf of the American people during his presidency.

Many fear we may not arrive at a viable cure for this debilitating disease until the 2018 midterm elections.

But seriously folks, at what point will liberals be willing to set aside their intolerant hatred of President Trump on behalf of the American people? For progressives, it isn’t about improving the livelihood of millions of Americans; it’s about destroying one man – Donald J. Trump!

Case in point: It appears liberal Democrats will be unwilling to vote for tax reform and lower taxes for the American people, despite the Tax Foundation reporting that taxes cost Americans more out-of-pocket than they collectively spend on housing, clothing and food – combined! What an audacious disregard for the American taxpayer!

Ironically, this past Sunday was the anniversary of former president Reagan signing into law his successful Tax Reform Act of 1986. This was the second major law he signed reforming the tax code for the American people. It was a time when Republicans and Democrats came together to work for all Americans.

Now, over 30 years later, President Trump seeks to live up to his promise to historically reduce taxes and simplify the burdensome tax system for millions of Americans. In a speech to the Heritage Foundation, President Trump outlined his new plan along with highlighting a few substantial successes he’s already had on behalf of Americans.

“In the nine months since I took office as president, we have removed intrusive, job-killing regulations at a record pace.” Trump said. “We are leaving lopsided international deals that hurt America, like the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Paris Climate Accord. We have unleashed American energy by ending the war on coal and approving major projects like the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines. And earlier this month, I signed an executive order to take important steps to free our people from the grip of Obamacare.”

The president went on to share that unemployment was at a 16-year low, wages are rising, manufacturing confidence is higher, the stock market is soaring, and GDP growth has climbed to more than 3 percent – a feat never achieved under his predecessor.

“The optimism has returned – the sun is once again rising over America,” the president proudly proclaimed.

But even as President Trump works on behalf of hard-working families, those infected with TDS are choosing to allow the hatred of one man to supersede their love of country.

So, given the American people are coming off eight years of liberal oppression, I’m confident patriots won’t rest until a cure is found for this progressive disease.

For now, President Trump’s successes are offsetting this liberal disorder.

    GOP LOGO

No matter what moral, ethical or political perspective we espouse, we’re eventually exposed by actions that openly offend us. Unfortunately, for many Americans, that’s where we find ourselves with some members of the so-called GOP establishment.

It would seem that many in the Republican Party are in lockstep with liberal Democrats in choosing to demonstrate their resentment of President Trump by impeding him from returning America to greatness.

I’m confident this rebuke of the voters’ authoritative mandate given in the last few election cycles will be the undoing of the Republican Party, unless it institutes a course change soon. Continuing down this path could result in an aggressive push for a viable third political party by millions of Americans weary of representatives being more interested in personal victories than in constituents.

I admit, early in the Republican primary, I was concerned about a Trump presidency. At one point, I would’ve chosen any of the other GOP candidates as our presidential nominee. I suppose I had my own pre-conceived notion as to what it would take to steer our nation away from the debilitating path of progressivism under the Obama administration.

But, as more Republicans expose themselves to Americans as being more concerned with personal vendetta and power over public service, the more I’m convinced Donald J. Trump was the only man for the 2016 presidency.

Honestly, does anyone believe we needed another politically correct politician negotiating with other politically correct politicians? Where has that gotten us the past few elections? In many regards, we haven’t seen a true champion for the American people since Ronald Reagan.

But President Trump is becoming the people’s champion by proving he isn’t concerned with political correctness or bowing to special interest groups. The only political debt Donald Trump owes is to the American people by fulfilling his promises.

Now, I realize that fulfilling a promise is an abstract concept for many politicians. But for a man who realizes integrity and honoring one’s word is prerequisite to success in life, President Trump is willing to do what it takes to make it happen, despite being burdened by a feckless Congress.

Last week, frustrated over Congress’ failure to repeal and replace Obamacare, President Trump signed an executive order making it easier for people to purchase affordable healthcare and restricting the Obamacare mandates.

Several news outlets, including The New York Post, reported the president as saying, the order “directs the Department of Health and Human Services, the Treasury, and the Department of Labor, to take action to increase competition, increase choice, and increase access to lower-priced, high-quality health care options and people will have great, great health care.”

Despite what corrupt politicians would have you believe, this isn’t complicated.

Politicians apply for a job. We hire them via an interview process. Do good work, great! Do poor work, goodbye! Anything more is political pandering.

Here’s an ironic bottom line worth remembering for Congress. President Trump is giving you more opportunity now than voters will in 2018.

Time to clock in. You’re very late for work.
